Join a book club today!

Do you want to join a book club but can't find the time to actually be in one? Let's look at a few up and coming ways you can be a part of a reading group without joining one in person or building one from scratch. Being a part of something could launch you into starting your own book club eventually and that would be book club fantastic.

Celebrities starting book clubs on The Book Club Blogger
Hollywood is on the book club band wagon. Actress Emma Watson made a big splash with her, Our Shared Shelf book club. A reading group that touts funny, inspiring and empowering books all online and through a chat forum.

A self-declared bookworm, Reese Witherspoon's Instagram book club posts engage you to share and post your thoughts and opinions on her latest reads

The famous Oprah Winfrey book club has now launched her Oprah's Book Club 2.0 - an interactive book club so you, the reader, can share on social media. Sign up for her newsletter and get the latest book read

Slate's Audio Book Club -  You will be told what novel to read and then you listen to an audio discussion of the book by Slate's critics

Poppy Loves Book Club -  An online and local book club all in one. Poppy is a well known lifestyle blogger in London whose book club meets with women from all over the world on Facebook at the same time. Bonus:  An author included for discussion

Book club in a bag -  Libraries will provide everything you need to host for your very own reading group. The book is selected for you (providing up to ten copies), discussion questions, an author background and a signup sheet so the library can keep track of the books.  Check out your local library to see if they have a book club in a bag waiting for you!

Whether it be an online book club, through your local library or in your home there is no excuse to take your love of reading and connect with other like minded readers to find that one perfect group and yes, book clubs do come in all shapes and sizes.

Happy reading book friends!
